Warren Buffett, a native of Omaha, is a businessman, investor, philanthropist and author of several articles about investing, the economy and other topics. He is chairman and CEO of Berkshire Hathaway, a multinational holding company which became one of his investments in the early 1960s. One of the world's richest people, Buffett is a major supporter of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, which will inherit the bulk of his wealth.
Carol Loomis is an award-winning financial journalist and senior editor-at-large at Fortune magazine, which she joined in 1954. A graduate of the University of Missouri, Loomis has been following Buffett's career since 1966, and has edited his annual letter to shareholders since 1977. She is the author of "Tap Dancing to Work: Warren Buffett on Practically Everything, 1966-2012" (2012).
