Robert Draper is an author, a GQ correspondent and a contributor to The New York Times Magazine. A Texas native, his journalism career started at the University of Texas' newspaper The Daily Texan, and continued at the Austin Chronicle. In 1997, Draper joined the staff of GQ and has worked as a correspondent covering news and politics; his stories have been republished in Best American Crime Stories 2001 and Best American Politics Stories 2003. After covering the Bush family for Texas Monthly, Draper published "Dead Certain: The Presidency of George W. Bush, a Chronicle of the Bush Administration from 2001 to 2007" (2007). His latest book, "Do Not Ask What Good We Do: Inside the U.S. House of Representatives" (2012), offers a glimpse into the 112th United States House of Representatives.
